MEDITATION-PLUS RETREAT March 1-3, 2024 – EVA WOLF

LESS IS MORESIMPLICITY AND SURRENDER

A preview for everyone into the retreat program.

Dear – potential – participants,

In a few weeks, we will spend three days together in silence at a beautiful location, the Hof van Kairos near Winterswijk. This silence will be nourished by our mindfulness exercises, our conversations, delicious food, and much more. There is also a space, the Atelier, for those who feel the need to talk with each other now and then.

We are currently eleven—a nice, intimate group—and there is still room for more. I am sending this outline and content of our program to everyone who receives my blogs, so you can gain an insight into the general setup of such a retreat, whether it lasts 3 days or 4 days (like our summer retreat from August 26 to 31, which will be about life and death ).

Themes that will definitely be addressed in the context of simplicity and surrender include:

  • Problems, confusions, injuries ("traumas" in Latin)
  • Worrying, fretting, having fears (e.g., FOMO), being irritated, experiencing frustrations
  • Stress and relaxation
  • Playing like a child
  • The unbearable lightness of being (with a nod to Milan Kundera)
  • Simplicity and surrender in everyday practice

As always, I create a collection of texts and poems from others and myself, which I use as background material and inspiration for our meditations. A copy of this will be available for review (and for taking 😉) on our book table.

You can prepare by reflecting on the themes in your life that you want to untangle and/or gain more insight and clarity into. You can also read (parts of) my book The Flower in advance.

For practical information, see my website and/or email debloemretraites.gmail.com. And, of course, you can always call, text, or email me.

Until then (who knows) – I'm looking forward to it!
